The reason that I am here today is because I have humongous love for the building industry and I love building new homes. The reason that I decided to get a Stroud Homes franchise is I was looking at better options trying to get away from basically the renovation game, the game where there is a lot of competition.
The reason I was attracted to Stroud Homes than other franchises which I was called about and offered for a few, is basically they weren’t structured enough, they weren’t a team building, they were either very individual or they were so diverse and they were too unorganized. Stroud had both benefits of being very well organized and being in a team situation, so that’s probably the main decision for going with Stroud. I needed to know that it was going to be cost effective, I needed to know there was going to be profit in it, and I needed to know that what was being said was actually going to come true I guess, and so far everything has been really, really good, and it’s been better than I expected.
So it’s been about a week since I have signed the franchise documents and since that time and this past week I have been updating all my bill of quantities, I have already got four leads which is really, really, good. Two of which are fairly strong, might need some work but one that seems like pretty much already is a sale to me which is exciting. We have the office launch in about another two weeks which again is really, really exciting for me.
Well I am finding that the suppliers and subcontractors have been really responsive. I know that Stroud had sent out an email to all the suppliers and subcontractors that they use and I have virtually been bombarded by helpful phone calls from all of them, lending their hand and letting me know the services that they provide are, so it’s been really easy.
